Pamela Suzanne Ellis of Madison passed away on September 16, 2017. Visitation will take place from 12-2 pm at Pinelake Church of Madison with the service following at 2 pm.
Sue, as she was known by her family and friends, was born on October 9, 1970 to Wayne and Pam Ellis. She was a 1988 graduate of Clinton High School. After high school, Sue obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Mississippi State University in elementary education.
Her early career was spent in the classroom teaching. Suzanne soon moved into a position with The Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi, where she has worked the last 18 years. She positively influenced many k-12 students throughout the state about the negative impacts of tobacco use. Sue is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jackson, and she devoted many hours to loving babies at the Pinelake nursery as well as participating in many other philanthropic endeavors throughout the years. Outside of her professional career, Sue loved to spend time with friends and family vacationing at the beach, traveling to concerts, watching movies and her Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Sue is survived by her parents; her brother, David Ellis and his children Mallory and Mason Ellis and their mother, Amy; her aunt and uncle, James and Helen Ellis and many cousins. She also leaves behind Nola, her adored miniature toy poodle, named for her beloved New Orleans Saints as well as Breesy, her cat.
